Já sei,
pensaste que não doía
e se não visses hoje,
verias outro dia.
Quantas vezes pensei assim..

Entendo,
achaste que estavas atento,
mas esqueceste que o vento
pode ficar zangado,
virar tornado
e levá-la de ti..

Hoje já é outro dia
e nada te dará alegria
de vê-la aqui!

Pode colocar bandeiras,
alto-falante, som,
recomendar a música primeira
que a pessoa que amas
não ouvirá tua declaração!

Vai, tenta aí !
Pode gritar do meio da praça
que a amas de graça
que não a verás sorrir!

Isso nunca se pensa
e se vem a mente,
a gente condena,
mas não deveria ser assim!

Antes
que levem quem amas,
antes
que o orgulho te cegue
diga a quem teu coração reclama:
- PRECISO DE TI! -

You could even shout yourself hoarse,

But the person you love is not there anymore

Can no longer hear your declaration of love!

Scream out in the middle of a crowd,

Say that you love her, but say it out loud!

Go! Have a try!

See? Too late:

She won't have a single butterfly.

Nobody ever dares thinking of such possibility,

And if it comes to one's mind,

The idea is soon condemned.

It's vanished, but shouldn't!

Before consciousness proves you're just being proud,

And makes you take the blame,

Before life takes the one you love away from you

Just say to that person for whom you heart claims:

- I NEED YOU! -
